So, Gen and I have made it to the Rainsong Wildlife Sanctuary just as the sun was setting on Sunday night. Our Shuttle driver seemed nervous going there. He claimed that he really hated driving on the shitty gravel and dirt roads there. (The paved road is non existent here on the Nicoya Peninsula). but WOW!!!WOW!WOW!WOW!!! is all I have to say about Montezuma. As we drove throught it there was what I would imagine what Hawaii would look like. The dirt road is barely brushed against crystal blue ocean waves and palm trees with coconuts everywhere! Fresh tropical fruits dripping off the trees and beautiful tanned and HAPPY people everywhere!!!! There are lots of hippies here. And they are a lot of international hippies. It{s kinda bizarre. I made friends with an adorable dready chech couple. They were selling homemade empanadas up and down the beach. They were kinda dirty and I was at first sceptical about eating there food. But I talked with them and talked about where they are from and what they are doing and they seemed really into healthy eating and living....so I bought a veggie empanada from them. It was fantastic. And I never barfed, which is good. Anyway, life on the [farm) wildlife sanctuary is awesome. It actually located in a town called Cabuya which is 7km from Montezuma (main town). Its really rural so I have to hitch a ride (it{s so safe...everyone knows everyone here.) or walk everywhere to get around. Anyway, more later, Im in Cobano right now (the only town with a bank and internet) and I have to catch a bus back to Cabuya before 5:30pm. It{s the last one. Anyway, more later! I{ve been hanging with Howler monkeys, baby anteaters, tocan and more crazy animales!!! I write more later!
Love and pura vida! xo
